We went to Plimoth Plantation Sunday. This is the inside of one of the Indian dwellings. That is a native woman and her boys.
This is another native showing how they cooked in 1630 or so.
Another Indian, this one is from Canada.
This is the entrance to the pilgrim village. Now here the people are play acting 1627.
A replica of a bed from the period.
This lady is a housewife cleaning up after lunch.
The fires were in a corner of their one room houses for warmth and cooking.
This man is suppose to be the preacher for Plimoth.
Another play actor.
And his "wife."
The view of the Atlantic from the fort at the top af a hill.
The fort and your dad.
This is what our camp site looks like in Littleton.MA
A marina in Newport, RI
The houses here are really nice. But who cleans them?
The beach that the Vanderbuilts could see from their HUGE cottage. We didn't feel like touring any houses.
The pictures got mixed up in the uploading. Anyway this is the rock outside our house in Groton.
And the forest across the street has been made into a rec center.
This is on the Sub Base there. There is a museum now. Your dad loved it.
The entrance.
This is the missile hatch like on his old boats.
Some little boy was asking your dad questions about all the cool stuff.
Your dad next to a Japanese sub
There's our house on Pelican Drive. Notice it now has garage.
The front yard.
Remember all the bushes that use to be in the front? All gone. We think they had just rehabbed the houses around here.
This is Trinity Church in Boston.
The house of the poet Longfellow. It was used by Washington during the Revolutionary war.
The garden at the Longfellow house.
Old Ironsides. It was closed because they had a Navy thing going on that day.
It has a nice museum at the Old Navy Yard.
More of the yard
We had lunch here. The place is huge. There were tons of people here as well.
Dad was tired of waiting for our salads.
The inside of the Old North Church of Paul Revere fame.
The outside of the church.
This is how Boston marks most of the Freedom Trail walk. We climbed this steep, steep hill.
And we saw a few grave stones. This one was marked 1785.
We've had a busy week. And hotspot service had been spotty in Conn. So we decided to make this blog hold all we've seen since the last blog. It was fun looking for the old house and going to the sub museum. We got here in a Mass.on Thursday afternoon. We made an appointment to go on the tour into Boston on Friday. I'm glad we did because parking is crazy. And the drivers were really interesting. I heard someone say that driving is a contact sport here.
I don't want to go back because it's so crowded there. I guess it was just tourists. We ran errands Saturday and drove to Cape Cod Sunday. We stopped by and toured the museum about Plymouth. It's called Plimoth Plantation. I had a blast. It's almost to bad I don't teach Thanksgiving anymore.
Well, that's all we've done so far except eat seafood. We've had lobster rolls and I ate some scrod yesterday. Yum! We leave tomorrow morning for Maine.
More next week.

I like that you took a picture of the rock. I have fond memories of trying to avoid that rock on the slip & slide.
Mendy might have tried to avoid that rock, but Scott and I used to use it to try to jump over the fence of the house at the bottom of the 'Big Dipper.'
Not only are the bushes gone from the front of the house, but the crab apple tree between the wings of the house is gone too. Nice to see that it still has that HUGE front yard.
Cool seeing the CT house.
